David Maupin is the owner and founder of Maupin Financial Advisors, located in downtown Redlands. He has worked extensively in the field of financial management since 1985, offering financial planning and investment advice to individuals, families, and small business owners. David is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional (CFP ®) and Registered Principal, holding Series 7, 24, 63, and 65 registrations with LPL Financial, as well as life and disability insurance licenses.
Dave attended Oregon State University on a Naval ROTC scholarship, earning a B.A., then served as a Naval Flight Officer in a squadron tracking Soviet submarines during the Cold War. He completed his Navy career as a Professor of Naval Science at Stanford University while obtaining an MBA in Finance at Santa Clara University.
A committed community volunteer, Dave has served a variety of nonprofits and service clubs, as well as mentoring students in Compact Careers Clubs at three Redlands high schools. He currently serves on the board of Redlands Conservancy, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is past president of Redlands Rotary, Redlands Noon Kiwanis, the Redlands Symphony Association, and both the Estate Planning Council of San Bernardino and the Inland Empire Chapter of International Association of Financial Planners. He served on the Mission Aviation Foundation Board as Chair of the Investment Committee.
David was selected Redlands Man of the Year for his ongoing volunteer involvement and philanthropy. He and his wife, Robin, were also honored by the Redlands Bowl as “Heroes of the Arts” and by the University of Redlands Town and Gown as “Citizens of Distinction.” They have two adult children and five amazing grandsons!
